The second official day of summer brought about rather mundane weekly mobile New York sports betting figures for the week ending June 18.
For FanDuel, however, there were two major headlines.
FanDuel became the first provider in the Empire State to surpass $10 billion in cumulative handle. On the down side, they were No. 2 behind DraftKings for the second consecutive week.
After dominating for all 74 weeks since mobile betting launched in New York, FanDuel lost to DraftKings for the first time last week.
As always, the numbers were reported by the New York State Gaming Commission (NYSGC).
The exact number for FanDuel NY of $10,040,075,533 is more than $2.5 billion more than No. 2 DraftKingsNY overall.
Total mobile handle for the week posted just a tad above $278 million, a $20.89 million drop from the previous week. It was the fourth consecutive week below $300 million. Total mobile Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) came in at more than $27.19 million, a $1.12 million increase.
Weekly tax collected by Albany: $13,866,982, a $574,522 bump upward from a week earlier.
Since the launch of New York betting apps in January 2022, the state has handled more than $24.885 billion and posted more than $2.136 billion in total GGR and $1.089 billion in taxes.
Two Straight for DraftKings NY

DraftKings NY’s total mobile handle was more than $117.33 million, a considerable drop from $131.12 million a week ago. Its total mobile GGR jumped up to more than $12.35 million, a $3.21 million increase from the previous week.
FanDuel NY posted $102.23 million in total handle, a $2.58 million decrease from $104.81 million.
Of note, PointsBet NY dropped to $3.32 million in total mobile handle, which snapped an eight-week streak of more than $4 million dating back to the week ending April 16.
