The last official weekly mobile New York sports betting figures for April were released Friday morning by the New York State Gaming Commission (NYSGC) and showed a mild uptick from the previous week.
Total mobile handle for the week ending April 30 generated more than $374 million, a $1.05 million increase from $373.14M for the week ending April 23. Total Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) dropped more than $7.19 million, to more than $37.83 million, after recording more than $45 million last week.
Weekly tax posted at nearly $19.3 million, a $3.67 million decrease. The Empire State is tied with New Hampshire for the highest tax rate in the nation at 51%.
Since launch on Jan. 8, 2002, the state has handled more than $22.778 billion, generated more than $1.918 billion in total GGR and is inching closer to $1 billion in taxes to Albany with $978.4 million.
Inside the Numbers
Five of the nine NY betting apps providers enjoyed increases in handle, but only three showed upticks in total GGR.
BetMGM NY and PointsBet NY were the only two to show increases in both categories.
FanDuel New York, the stateās most dominant provider, generated more than $150 million in handle, its highest since more than $155.68 million was recorded for the week ending March 26. Since launch, FanDuel has surpassed the $9 billion mark in cumulative handle. FanDuel also has posted more than $936.54 million in total GGR and paid $477.63 million in taxes.
DraftKings NY posted more than $137.19 million in total handle, its largest number since about $154.08 million was generated for the week ending March 19.
NY BetRivers dipped to $9.93 million, ending an eight-week streak of more than $10M in weekly handle. It was its lowest since $9.27 million for the week ending Feb. 26.
