Both New York football teams are not familiar with the position they currently hold heading into Week 11 of the NFL regular season on Sunday.
As New York sports betting fans look on in amazement, the Giants (7-2) and Jets (6-3) are one game and a half-game back, respectively, in the NFC East and AFC East. This is the first time both teams are above .500 after nine games in a season since 2015, when both were at 5-4.
Here is a year-by-year look:
Giants Have Won 5 of Last 6 Games
After the Philadelphia Eagles’ undefeated season was ended by the Washington Commanders on Monday night, the Giants moved within one game of the NFC favorite with a home matchup scheduled against the Detroit Lions (3-6) on Sunday at 1 p.m.
As of Wednesday morning over at DraftKings NY, the Giants are 3-point (-110) and -155 moneyline favorites against the Lions with the over/under point total at 46.
The Giants then have a quick turnaround on Thanksgiving Day as they visit their NFC East rival, the Dallas Cowboys (FOX, 4:30).
The Giants have two games left with the Eagles: on Dec. 11 and in Philly to end the season Jan. 8.
Looking at DraftKings futures, the Giants are +1000 to with the NFC East, +2500 to take the NFC Championship and +6000 to be Super Bowl champions.
To make the postseason in New York NFL betting, the Giants are a solid -300 favorite to make and +250 to miss at DraftKings.
After Bye Week, Jets Travel to Nemesis New England Sunday
Coming off a 20-17 home victory against the AFC East and Super Bowl favorite Buffalo Bills on Nov. 6, the Jets rested up in Week 10. On Sunday, the Jets face another division rival, the New England Patriots (CBS, 1 p.m.).
The Jets have dropped a whopping 13 consecutive games to New England, including by 22-17 on Oct. 30.
New York betting apps have the Jets as a slight underdog to break the streak.
The Jets are 3-point (-105) and +140 moneyline underdogs entering Sunday’s game over at DraftKings.
The oddsmakers aren’t expecting much offense. The over-under total is at 38.5.
At DraftKings, the Jets are at +1000 to win the AFC East and +2500 to take home the AFC Championship. Just like the Giants, they are +6000 to capture the Super Bowl title.
Most importantly, to make the playoffs, the Jets are +100 to do so and -120 to miss out.
